Student Webinar

International Student Webinar

5:00 PM to 6:30 PM (Brazil time)

This session marks the closing of the 1st National Conference on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event will be conducted entirely in English and will feature the participation of undergraduate international students from five different countries.

During the webinar, students will address key questions related to the thematic axes of the Conference. After each presentation, there will be an opportunity for interaction, allowing both Brazilian and international students to ask questions and engage in dialogue, fostering a collaborative and globally enriched environment.

Each undergraduate student will be invited to select and respond to one of the following guiding questions, or to speak openly based on their perspective:

What strategies should be adopted to strengthen democratic institutions and ensure social accountability and open dialogue in the implementation of representative public policies?

What practical measures should be proposed to ensure that production chains preserve natural resources and biodiversity, while strengthening climate resilience in different territories?

How can we ensure that the voices of groups prioritized by public policies are heard and considered in the collective construction of a more just and equitable society?

In what ways should technological innovation be encouraged and applied as an effective tool to generate solutions that address current social and environmental challenges?

What models of collaboration between sectors can be established to ensure the integration of diverse perspectives in decision-making and in the effective implementation of the SDGs?

What multistakeholder collaboration strategies should be developed to bring together efforts and ensure adequate resources and funding for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda?

In addition, each student is expected to reflect on and present how sustainability is addressed within their university, the community in which they live, and their country, contributing with personal insights and contextualized experiences.
